Who am I and what do I do?
For as long as I remember, horses and dogs have been my life. Sounds odd, doesn’t it? My journey from someone who was surrounded by horses and dogs all the time to an equestrian and finally a professional photographer has been really fulfilling. As a child I rode, trained, breed, showed, and competed but an accident riding a horse meant that I couldn’t do that anymore. That is when – about 7 years ago – I started photographing horses. Saying that it has been a hell of a ride will be an understatement. Nothing gives me more pleasure than capturing the bond between people and their pets – horses and dogs in particular. To me, photographing the love that exists between individuals and their horses as well as dogs is an art. By documenting the precious moments, I help you frame that memory for good. Whether it be a photo shoot for a magazine cover, photos for Instagram and Facebook or simply a canvas that you want to be made in order to solidify your beautiful relationship with your horse or dog, I am your go-to photographer.
With my experience, skill-set, and knack of photographing the candid moments that make the best photographs you just cannot go wrong. I take great pride in my work and given that I have a special place in my heart for horses and dogs mean that I leverage my own passion for these beautiful creatures to shoot them in a unique way.
My goal in every photo shoot is to capture those special moments, those connections with your horse and those little things that make you who you are. If I can do that, then you can relive those simple, special moments in your life – or your children's lives – and never forget them.
You'll notice that even when you aren't looking at the camera with a big smile, I'm still there taking pictures. Because those candid photos are the ones that tells stories.
BIOGRAPHY
Enrique Urdaneta is a photographer who was born in Caracas, Venezuela, in 1969; now resides in Boca Raton, Florida, United States. He learned photography from several master photographers. He studied at the New York Institute of Photography, Roberto Mata Taller de Fotografía and at the Old School Square, Delray Beach Center for the Arts in Florida.
He has specialized in people, pets and horse portraits; took advantage of his passion and experience as equine breeder and trainer to focus on this niche. He has also devoted himself to the study of light, natural and artificial, in order to bring out the best qualities of his subjects to create a portrait worth of being on display.
Recently his photos has been displayed in: Prodavinci, Horse and Hound Magazine, Click Polo USA Magazine, POLO +10, Horse Network, Horse Talk, NJ.com, Polo Players Edition, Polo Times, Equestrio, Elite Equestrian Magazine, Yourhorse.co.uk, Hurlingham Polo.

Se ha especializado en retratos a personas, mascotas y caballos; aprovechó su experiencia como criador y entrenador de equinos para dedicarse a este nicho. También se ha dedicado durante los últimos años al estudio de la luz, natural y artificial, con el objeto de resaltar las mejores cualidades del sujeto, y crear un retrato que sea digno de exhibir en una pared.
